CHARGES LAID, BREAK AND ENTER IN TRENTON

(QUINTE WEST, ON) - The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following a break in Trenton.

On October 22, 2025, at approximately 01:00 am, Quinte West OPP responded to a break and enter in progress at the Cascades facility on Marmora Street. Police received information that several persons were attempting to steal wiring from the facility. One individual was apprehended by security staff and taken into custody by police.

Kyle PETERSON, 41 years-old from Trenton has been charged with the following offences:

  • Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offense
  • Mischief - destroys or damages property
  • Theft Under $5000

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario court of Justice in Belleville.

The investigation in ongoing.
