NUMEROUS CHARGES LAID, INCLUDING IMPAIRED AND DRUG RELATED

(QUINTE WEST, ON) - The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid numerous charges following a collision that occurred in Trenton.
On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at approximately 4:30 pm, officers with the Quinte West OPP, the OPP Emergency Response Team, the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team (TIME), Quinte West Firefighters and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a collision on Marmora Street in Quinte West, resulting in the arrest of a driver for being impaired.
During the investigation, the same driver and their passenger were charged with the following offences:
Andrea PELRINE, age 29, from Trent Hills, was charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Dangerous operation
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Fail to comply with Probation Order
Perry DOUGLAS, age 38, from Quinte West, was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
The accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
