COMPLAINT RESULTS IN IMPAIRED CHARGE

(QUINTE WEST, ON) - The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid a charge in another impaired driving investigation.
On Friday, May 1, 2026, at approximately 3:20 pm, officers with the Quinte West OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 33 leading to an investigation where an ASD was used, resulting in the arrest of the driver for being impaired. The driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.
Eleanor CONROY, age 55, from Quinte West, was charged with the following offence:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on June 11, 2026. Additionally, the vehicle they were operating was impounded for seven days, and their licence suspended for 90 days.
