DEATH INVESTIGATION IN CALEDON

Municipality in Brackets Corrected

(MELANCTHON, ON) - Two years later, police are renewing their request for public assistance with a newly installed billboard as a homicide investigation in the Town of Caledon continues.

On Monday, April 1, 2024, members of the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a deceased individual in the area of Chinguacousy Road and King Street in the Town of Caledon.

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, a post-mortem examination was conducted, which determined the death was the result of a homicide. The deceased was identified as 65-year-old David ROBSON, who was reported missing from the Township of Melancthon on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

The deceased’s vehicle has not been located. It is described as a 2017 black Kia Sportage, with Ontario licence plate DAMZ 252. Investigators are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of the vehicle to contact police to support the ongoing investigation.

A billboard with the victim’s photo and vehicle information has been installed on County Road 9 facing southwest at County Road 11, just west of Orangeville. Photos of the billboard and vehicle are attached to this release.

“We hope the billboard prompts anyone passing through the area to recall some information about David ROBSON or the location of his vehicle. We want to understand what happened to David and provide the answers his loved ones have been waiting for over the past two years.”
