(EABAMETOONG FIRST NATION, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is assisting the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS) with an investigation in Eabametoong following an incident that left two people with serious injuries.
On Sunday, March 29, 2026, at approximately 3:35 am, officers with the Eabametoong NAPS Detachment responded to reports of an assault in the area of Albany River Crescent in Eabametoong. Upon arrival, officers located two individuals with life-threatening injuries. Both individuals were airlifted to hospital for treatment.
