SNOWMOBILE AND PICKUP TRUCK COLLISION SENDS ONE TO TORONTO‑AREA HOSPITAL

(TINY TOWNSHIP, ON) A snowmobile operator sustained life‑altering injuries following a collision with a pickup truck in Tiny Township this morning.
At approximately 9:42 am on January 24, 2026, members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the i ntersection of Concession 12 in Tiny Township and an Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trail f or a reported collision involving a snowmobile and a pickup truck.
Officers located a 50‑year‑old male from Tiny Township who had been operating the snowmobile and sustained serious injuries. Simcoe County Paramedic Services attended the scene and transported the individual to a local hospital before he was later transferred to a Toronto‑area hospital with life‑altering injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. The roadway and trail were closed for a period of time but have since reopened.
