ASSAULT WITH WEAPON INCIDENT LEADS TO ARREST
INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN MULTIPLE CHARGES
(MIDLAND, ON) - The Southern Georgian Bay OPP has laid charges following an assault with a weapon incident that occurred on the evening of February 4, 2026, at an apartment complex on King Street in the Town of Midland. Two individuals sustained minor injuries.
As a result, the following individuals have been charged contrary to the Criminal Code and Controlled drugs and Substances Act:
Alex DAKA, 43 years of Midland, - Assault with a weapon
- Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Fail to comply with a release order
- Utter threat of death or bodily harm
- Five counts of possession of a Schedule I substance
Michelle Skinner, 32 years of Midland
- Break and enter with intent
- Possession of a Schedule I substance
Both accused were held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice.
