Officers investigating shooting in the area of Lasalle Boulevard and Notre Dame Avenue

UPDATE
Through the investigation, officers have obtained an image of the person believed to be responsible for the shooting in the area of Lasalle Boulevard and Notre Dame Avenue on March 25, 2025.
The individual is described as a Black man who was wearing a face covering at the time of the shooting and an image of him shortly after the incident took place is attached.
Officers continue to review video surveillance footage and canvas for additional information and video.
ORIGINAL
Just before 8:00 pm on March 25, 2025, the Greater Sudbury Police Service received a call regarding a weapons complaint that occurred in the area of Lasalle Boulevard and Notre Dame Avenue. Information provided was that an individual had been shot and was being transported to the hospital by a community member.
Officers attended the hospital and spoke with the 35-year-old, man from Greater Sudbury who had sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Through the investigation it is believed that the 35-year-old, man was shot while he was the passenger in a 2024, Black Ford F-150, being driven by an unidentified man in the area of Lasalle Boulevard and Notre Dame Avenue. The suspect fled in the vehicle prior to police being called.
The vehicle believed to be involved in the incident was located unoccupied in the downtown core.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
This is believed to be a targeted incident as the individuals involved are known to each other.
