The driver at the time of the collision has been identified.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
ORIGINAL
Just after 3:45 pm on April 2, 2025, officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Walmart on Lasalle Boulevard in relation to a hit a run collision involving a pedestrian.
Based on the investigation, it is believed that the driver of a dark-coloured Chrysler 200 sedan (image attached) struck a pedestrian in front of the Walmart doors and then fled the scene in the vehicle prior to police being called.
The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the collision.
