UPDATE – Fatal pedestrian collision on Attlee Avenue at Lasalle Boulevard

UPDATE
Based on the investigation by members of our Integrated Traffic Safety Unit (ITSU), charges will not be laid against the driver involved in the fatal pedestrian collision on Attlee Avenue at Lasalle Boulevard on November 5, 2025. It has been determined that the driver was not at fault and that speed, drugs or alcohol were not factors in the collision.
This is a tragic incident, and our thoughts are with those impacted by the collision.
ORIGINAL
At 4:40 am, officers were dispatched to Lasalle Boulevard at Attlee Avenue in relation to a serious collision involving a pedestrian. The driver and the vehicle involved remained on scene.
Greater Sudbury Fire Services and Paramedic Services were also dispatched to the scene. The individual was transported to hospital by paramedics with serious, life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, the 39-year-old, woman was pronounced deceased at the hospital by medical professionals.
Attlee Avenue and Lasalle Boulevard are now open. The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
