FOUR INDIVIDUALS CHARGED FOLLOWING SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTION

(KENORA, ON) - Four individuals are facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation led by the Kenora detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
In April 2026, officers from the OPP Kenora Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) began investigating a residence in Kenora which was suspected of being involved in drug-related activities.
On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at approximately 1:30 am CDT, the OPP Kenora CSCU, with assistance from the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), OPP North West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Unit, OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), and Treaty Three Police Service executed a warrant on a local residence. This resulted in the seizure of suspected quantities of fentanyl and Canadian currency with a total estimated value of $8,000. Other items seized included a digital scale and cellphones.
As a result of the investigation, Nathanial MATTHEWS, 28-years-old from Brampton was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Controlled drugs and Substances Act offences:
- Failure to comply with release order
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime - under $5000
Martine PETIQUAN, 45-year-old from Kenora was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Controlled drugs and Substances Act offences:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime - under $5000
Kellie TWOHEART, 32-years-old from Wabaseemoong First Nation was arrested and charged with the following Controlled drugs and Substances Act offences:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
Konrad MUCKLE, 33-year-old from Kenora was arrested and charged with the following Controlled drugs and Substances Act offences:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora at a later date.
