(KENORA, ON) - Three individuals have been arrested and charged following a drug trafficking investigation in the area.

On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, members of the Kenora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) conducted a traffic stop as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation with assistance from the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), and Treaty Three Police Service Street Crime Unit. Two individuals were arrested and charged with multiple offences. OPP officers also executed a search warrant at a local residence where another individual was arrested and charged.

The search and arrests resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, hydromorphone, MDMA, cell phones, 2 firearms, Canadian currency, and other drug paraphernalia.

The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $4,300.

As a result of the investigation, Cory HOBBS, a 48-year-old male from Kenora, is charged under the Criminal Code and the Controlled drugs and Substances Act with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - other drugs (2)
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm (2)
  • Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition (2)
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

Melissa LUSSIER, a 41-year-old female from Kenora, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm (2)
  • Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition (2)

Jessika HARPER, a 24-year-old female from Kenora, is charged under the Controlled drugs and Substances Act with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - other drugs (2)

The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on March 9, 2026.
