OVER $67,000 WORTH OF DRUGS SEIZED IN KENORA

(KENORA, ON) - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kenora have arrested two individuals which resulted in drug trafficking charges, and the seizure of controlled drug substances, Canadian currency and weapons.
On April 30th, 2026, members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), and the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with assistance from the Kenora OPP detachment arrested two males in relation to a drug trafficking investigation. A search incident to arrest revealed over 600g of suspected cocaine, a large knife, bear spray, Canadian currency, cell phones and other items consistent with drug trafficking. The drugs have a combined street value of approximately $67,000.
As a result of this investigation, Javon Morin, 25-years-old of Pickering, ON has been arrested and charged with the following Controlled drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code of Canada offences:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous purpose
As a result of this investigation, Jamarl Frederick, 26-years-old of Scarborough, ON has been arrested and charged with the following Controlled drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code of Canada offences:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Both accused persons are being held in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on the 1st of May 2026.
