Human Remains Identified
(KENORA, ON) - Human remains have been located by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) as part of an ongoing investigation into the disappearance and death of a Kenora resident.
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, Mekhi PELLY (SCOTT), age 21 of Grassy Narrows First Nation, was reported missing to the Kenora OPP. Two individuals were arrested and charged in connection with this investigation.
On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) located human remains in the Washagamis Bay First Nation area. A postmortem examination confirmed the remains to be those of Mekhi PELLY (SCOTT).
