ONE INDIVIDUAL ARRESTED FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP

(KENORA, ON) - One individual has been arrested and charged following a traffic stop.
On Friday, February 20, 2026, members of the Kenora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop after noticing a suspicious vehicle. With assistance from the OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), the vehicle was searched and one individual was arrested and charged with multiple offences.
The search and arrest resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, a cell phone, Canadian currency, and other drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation, Christopher FIELDER, a 48-year-old male from Kenora, is charged under the Controlled drugs and Substances Act, Criminal Code, and Highway Traffic Act with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Driving while under suspension
- Operate unsafe vehicle
- Speeding 1-49 km/h over posted limit
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on Monday, April 13, 2026.
