IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED ON A MOTORCYCLE

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) - Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation after being alerted to a possible impaired driver in Coboconk on a motorcycle.
On Monday July 14, 2025 at approximately 1:37 pm officers were notified of a possible impaired driver that were operating a motorcycle believed to be impaired with a passenger. Officers entered into an impaired driving investigation and the driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving related charges.
David Mackey, 46-year-old of Coboconk, was charged with:
- Operation while Impaired - Alcohol and drugs
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The drivers license was suspended for 90 days and the motorcycle was impounded for 7 days.
