(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) - Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person after an intimate partner violence investigation.
On Thursday April 16, 2026, at approximately 7:30 pm, Prince Edward OPP responded to a domestic dispute. Officers completed their investigation and one individual was charged with:
- Assault - three counts
- Forcible Confinement
- Assault Cause Bodily Harm - two counts
- Sexual Assault
- Uttering threats
The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim. The accused was held pending a bail hearing.
