INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN CHARGES

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) - Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person after an intimate partner violence investigation.
On Monday April 13, 2026, Prince Edward OPP began an investigation into a domestic related incident. With assistance from the Tactical and Rescue Unit (TRU) a warrant was executed at a residence. As a result of the warrant, several firearms were seized from the residence, and one person was charged with:
- Assault
The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton at a later date.
