JOINT ENFORCEMENT BETWEEN OPP AND OTTAWA POLICE RESULTS IN DOZENS OF CHARGES

(OTTAWA, ON) - Members of the Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (T.I.M.E) Team, and OPP Auxiliary members joined Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Traffic Units and OPS Aviation, in a combined traffic enforcement initiative on Friday, May 15.
Between the hours of 6:00 pm and 12:00 am on May 15, 2026, OPP and OPS members conducted a joint traffic enforcement initiative as part of the OPP’s Canada Road Safety Week and the May Long Weekend. A total of 57 charges were laid, including impaired driving, stunt driving, driving under suspension and operating a vehicle without insurance. Six vehicles were impounded.
