(OTTAWA, ON) - Members of the Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid Impaired Driving related charges against an individual from Prescott after they rolled their vehicle on Highway 416.

Shortly before 1:00 am on July 27th, OPP responded to reports of a vehicle that had rolled over on Highway 416 near Hunt Club Road. Officers suspected the driver had been consuming alcohol. A roadside screening device was utilized and the driver was brought back to detachment for a breath test. The driver registered more then twice the legal limit.

As a result, Andrew Boschetti, 37 years of age, faces the following charges:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation

The accused had his licence suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 7 days. He is set to appear in an Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa at a later date.
