PERTH MAN FACING NUMEROUS DRIVING RELATED CHARGES IN OTTAWA

PERTH AREA MAN FACING SEVERAL CHARGES IN OTTAWA
(OTTAWA, ON) - Members of the Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid impaired driving related charges against an individual from Perth after the driver fled from police.
Shortly before 6:00 pm on May 16, 2026 an OPP member was filling up gas on Terry Fox Drive when the officer observed a vehicle doing donuts in the intersection. The driver attempted to flee, but was located by OPP at another gas bar on Eagleson Rd. The driver had also been consuming alcohol.
As a result, Baily CAMPBELL, 27 years of age, faces the following charges:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
- Dangerous operation
- Flight from peace officer
- Perform a stunt
- Driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor
The accused had his licence suspended for 90 days and had his vehicle impounded for seven days. The accused is set to appear in an Ontario court of Justice in Ottawa at a later date.
