(TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) -A traffic complaint resulted in a driver charged with impaired.

On Saturday, June 21,2025 at approximately 7:30 pm, the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded a traffic complaint on Highway 11 in Temiskaming Shores regarding a possible impaired driver.

Officers located the vehicle on Highway 11 and conducted a traffic stop near Bedard Drive. Following an investigation, the driver was arrested and transported to the Englehart detachment for further testing. The vehicle was towed and impounded.

Donald MCLEAN, 64 years-of-age of Charlton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired - alcohol

The accused received a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury, on Tuesday July 15, 2025.
