TWO ARRESTED FOLLOWING THEFT INVESTIGATION IN TEMISKAMING SHORES

(TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) - Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged two individuals following a theft investigation in the City of Temiskaming Shores.
On Saturday, February 14, 2026, at approximately 11:45 pm, officers responded to a report of suspicious activity after two individuals were tempering with a parked motorized snow vehicle (MSV) in a residential parking lot on Georgina Avenue.
Officers located the two individuals matching the provided descriptions. Both fled on foot but were quickly apprehended and taken into custody without incident.
During the investigation, officers seized a concealed replica firearm from one of the accused.
As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old from Temiskaming Shores has been charged with:
- Theft under $5,000
- Trespass at night
- Obstruct peace officer
In accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the identity of the youth will not be released.
Tyler Green, 18 years-of-age, from Temiskaming Shores, has been charged with:
- Theft under $5,000
- Trespass at night
- Obstruct peace officer
- Possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order - two counts
Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury at a later date.
