(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) - A person was charged after police were called to a blue mid-size Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) in a driveway with the driver passed out at the wheel on Washington Crescent.
On January 17, 2026, at approximately 10:00 pm the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the residence and spoke to the driver who exhibited signs of impairment. He was subsequently arrested and the SUV was towed and impounded.
Michael HOLLANDY, 45-years-old, from Elliot Lake was charged with:
- Operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on February 12, 2026.
