(BLIND RIVER, ON)- A social media video depicting disruptive behaviour inside a Blind River discount store has led to charges against four local youths.

On Friday, August 29, 2025, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) launched an investigation into a social media-related incident involving local youth.

The investigation stems from a video posted social media on Monday, August 18, 2025, showing four youths from Blind River entering a discount store in a plaza on Causley Street. The video appears to depict the group intentionally engaging in disruptive behaviour with the goal of being removed from the premises.

As a result of the investigation, two 14-year-olds and two 13-year-olds from Blind River have been charged with: Engaging in Prohibited Activity on Premises.
