EMERGENCY SERVICES RESPONDED TO STRUCTURE COLLAPSE

(WEST PERTH, ON) - The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with West Perth Fire Department and Perth County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a structure collapse in the Municipality of West Perth.
On February 10, 2026 at approximately 3:30 pm the Perth County OPP were contacted following the collapse of a building located on Huron St in the Town of Mitchell. Police attended with emergency services and secured the area.
As a result of the incident, two people sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals.
Emergency services have cleared the area.
The Ministry of Labour has assumed the investigation into the cause of this incident.
