(NORTH PERTH, ON) - One person is deceased following a collision involving a lone snowmobile in the Municipality of North Perth.

On February 9, 2026, shortly after 11:00 pm, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Perth County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Fire Department responded to a collision involving a snowmobile that had collided with a tree on the Milverton Snowmobile Club trail near Perth Line 72.

The 19-year-old lone driver of the snowmobile suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The trail was closed while OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team assisted Perth County OPP with the investigation.

All resources have cleared the area and the trail has been reopened.

This investigation remains ongoing.
