INDIVIDUAL ARRESTED FOR INVITATION TO SEXUAL TOUCHING

(WEST PERTH, ON) - The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the public’s assistance involving an investigation that occurred over the weekend.
On September 14, 2025 at approximately 5:00 pm, the Perth County OPP responded to a report of a suspicious person near Montreal Street between St George Street and St Andrew Street in the town of Mitchell where a victim reported being approached by a male.
At 7:41 pm, police responded to a second report of a suspicious person at the Lion’s Park in the town of Mitchell where a second victim reported being approached by a male.
As a result, a 68-year-old from West Perth has been charged under the Criminal Code with two counts of Invitation to Sexual Touching under 16 years of age. The accused was held for bail and subsequently remanded into custody.
