DRUG TRAFFICKING CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING A TRAFFIC STOP IN DUFFERIN

(MONO, ON) - As a result of a traffic stop, members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges in drug-related offences.
On April 1, 2026, just after 8:00 pm, members of the Dufferin County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 10 at Highway 89 in the Town of Mono, following reports of a possible impaired driver.
Upon identification and initial investigation, it was determined that the driver had access to open alcohol. A subsequent search of the motor vehicle was conducted.
As a result of the investigation, officers located and seized:
- Cocaine
- Ball Bearing Firearm
- Canadian currency
- Drug paraphernalia consistent with trafficking
Tucker CAMERON, a 19-year-old from Owen Sound has been charged with:
- Adult Failure to comply with Probation Order
- Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine
- Adult Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Adult Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime
Alex MACAULEY, a 25-year-old from Shallow Lake have been charged with:
- Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine
- Adult Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
The accused individuals are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville, to answer to the charges.
