DUFFERIN OPP INVESTIGATING A SERIOUS THREE VEHICLE COLLISION IN THE TOWNSHIP OF MELANCTHON

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) - Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside Dufferin County Paramedic Services and local fire departments, responded to a serious three-vehicle collision in the Township of Melancthon.
On April 24, 2026, at approximately 11:55 pm, emergency crews were dispatched to the area of Highway 10 between County Road 17 and 280 Sideroad following reports of a collision.
As a result of the crash, one male was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while another male was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. Updates will be provided as they become available.
The driver and passenger of the third vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
