MULMUR RESIDENT REMOVED FROM DUFFERIN COUNTY ROADS FOR IMPAIRED DRIVING

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) - Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Mulmur resident with impaired operation-related offences following a motor vehicle collision.
On May 13, 2026, at approximately 9:53 pm, Dufferin OPP officers were dispatched to the area of Centre Road and 5th Sideroad in the Township of Mulmur for a vehicle that had rolled over. Upon arrival, officers observed that there was nobody inside the vehicle however, they were able to locate the driver walking down the road a short time later. While speaking with the driver, officers initiated an impaired driving investigation.
As a result of the investigation, a 18-year-old male from Mulmur, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available
- Novice driver - B.A.C. above zero
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date to answer to the charge.
In addition, the individual’s driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was impounded.
