ORANGEVILLE RESIDENT CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED AFTER A CALL FROM A CONCERNED CITIZEN

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) - Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an Orangeville resident with impaired driving related offence after receiving a call from a concerned citizen.

On March 16, 2026, at approximately 12:11 pm, Dufferin OPP officers were dispatched to the area of Broadway and Dawson Road in the Town of Orangeville for a report of a female slumped over the wheel of a running vehicle. Police arrived on scene and attempted to gain the driver’s attention. After several attempts, officers were able to speak with the driver. Following a brief interaction, police initiated an impaired driving investigation.

As a result of the investigation, Lauren Miller, a 30-year-old female from Orangeville, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
