GRAND VALLEY RESIDENT CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING-RELATED OFFENCE FOLLOWING TRAFFIC COMPLAINT

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) - Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Grand Valley resident with an impaired driving-related offence following a traffic complaint.
On May 1, 2026, at approximately 9:25 pm, Dufferin OPP officers responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in the area of County Road 25 in the Town of Grand Valley. Officers located the vehicle of interest and conducted a traffic stop. After speaking with the driver, officers initiated an impaired driving investigation.
Andrew CABRAL, a 45-year-old resident of Grand Valley, has been charged with:
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date to answer to the charge.
As a result of the investigation, the accused’s driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was impounded.
