ARREST MADE AFTER THREATENING PHONE CALL

(BROCKTON, ON) - On August 20, 2025, at approximately 1:28 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a threatening phone call made to a financial institution in Walkerton, Municipality of Brockton.

Officers attended the financial institution and confirmed the well being of employees inside. Investigation revealed that an individual contacted the location and is alleged to have made threats to harm employees on site.

As a result, a 42-year-old resident of Arran-Elderslie was charged with:

  • Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm, CC 264.1(1)(a)

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
