COLLISION RESULTS IN ARREST

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) - On August 9, 2025, at approximately 1:07 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision along Bruce Road 28, Municipality of South Bruce.
Police attended and discovered a debris field, however the involved vehicle failed to remain. Shortly thereafter, police received a report of another collision along Huron Bruce Road, east of Belmore. A heavily damaged vehicle was observed by police. The investigating officer spoke with the involved driver and detected signs of impairment; they were taken into custody and transported to undergo further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Jeffrey VANDER HOUT, 40-years-old, of the City of Stratford, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired - B.A.C. 80 plus, CC 320.14(1)(b)
The accused is set to appear on September 24, 2025, at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.
