DRIVER CHARGED AFTER COLLISION WITH ROAD CLOSURE SIGN

(BROCKTON, ON) - South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Brockton resident following an incident in the Municipality of Brockton on March 28, 2026.
Just before 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 28, 2026, South Bruce OPP officers were attending a fatal motor vehicle collision on Bruce Road 3, when they received a call from a citizen that a motor vehicle had collided with a road closure sign, destroying the sign and causing heavy damage to the vehicle.
Upon investigation, a 74-year-old male from the Municipality of Brockton was a charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
