Two People Arrested

(BROCKTON, ON) - A search warrant executed in the Municipality of Brockton resulted the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal drugs and offence-related property. Two individuals from Brockton have been charged.

An investigation initiated by members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) led investigators to an address in the Municipality of Brockton.

On Wednesday, April 8th, 2026, a search warrant was executed at an address on Orange Street in the Municipality of Brockton, which resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, offence-related property, and Canadian currency.

The total value of the illegal drugs seized is approximately $264,000.

Offence-related property including weigh scales and cellular phones. Police also seized a quantity of Canadian currency.

Andreas CHARALAMBOUS, 58 years old from Brockton, has been charged under the Controlled drugs and Substances Act with:

  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a court date scheduled for May 20, 2026.

Verna RIEL, 58 years old from Brockton, has been charged under the Controlled drugs and Substances Act with:

  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking

The accused was arrested and later released with a court date of April 22,2026 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.

Officers from the South Bruce OPP, Wellington County OPP CSCU, Grey-Bruce OPP CSCU, West Region Emergency Response Team and West Region OPP Canine assisted with the investigation.
