SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION

(BROCKTON, ON) - The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident in the Municipality of Brockton.
On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, South Bruce OPP officers were contacted about a person who had been attending a property in the Municipality of Brockton.
The suspect fled from police however was later located and taken into custody without incident after assistance was provided by members of the OPP Emergency Response Team, West Region Canine Unit, and OPP Aviation Services.
A 20-year-old of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Failure to comply with release order - four counts
- Mischief under $5,000 - four counts
- Break, Enter dwelling house
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
The accused was held for a bail hearing, and was subsequently remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Walkerton.
