CDSA SEARCH WARRANT LEADS ARREST AND DRUG SEIZURE

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) - One person is facing charges after the execution of a Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) search warrant in Kirkland Lake.
On Tuesday May 19, 2026, members of the North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the North East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), and Kirkland Lake Crime Unit, a CDSA search warrant was executed at a residence on Government Road East, in Kirkland Lake.
As a result of the search, officers seized suspected fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of over $176,000. Police also recovered digital scales, weapons and cellular phones.
As a result of the investigation, Mark WEBBER, a 49-year-old from Kirkland Lake, has been arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order - two counts
The accused remains in custody and is schedule to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on June 4, 2026.
