(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) - One person is facing charges after the execution of a Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) search warrant in Kirkland Lake.

On Wednesday May 6,2026, members of the North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), and Kirkland Lake Crime Unit, executed a CDSA search warrant at a residence on Woods Street, in Kirkland Lake.

As a result of the search, officers seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of over $60,000. Police also recovered approximately $1,620 in Canadian currency, along with digital scales, drug accessories, ammunition and cellular phones.

As a result of the investigation, Grant TRAJKOWICZ, a 42-year-old from Kirkland Lake, has been arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

The accused has been remanded into custody and is schedule to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on September 5, 2025.
