CDSA WARRANT RESULTS IN SEIZURE OF LOADED HANDGUN

(MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT HILLS, ON) - The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following the search of a residence in Campbellford.
On June 12, 2025, officers from the Peterborough-Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), executed a Controlled drugs and Substance Act (CDSA) warrant at an address on Grand Road.
A search of the location led to the seizure of a loaded handgun, a replica handgun, and approximately 480 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $48,000. A large quantify of Canadian currency was also seized during the search.
Jordan DRAKE-BAWN, 24, from the Municipality of Trent Hills, was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Unauthorised possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Breach of firearms regulation - store firearm or restricted firearm
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
The accused was held for a Bail Hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
