BOSCH 11264EVS 1-5/8 SDS-Max Combo Hammer

(MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT HILLS, ON) - Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual following a report of a suspicious person.

On May 28, 2026, at approximately 5:30 pm, police received a complaint regarding a suspicious person on Church Street in Campbellford. Officers located an individual matching the description provided, and further investigation led to the seizure of a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine.

Richard WALSH (48) from Warkworth, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance - methamphetamine

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in July.

Vehicle Fire

On June 2, 2026, shortly before 8:30 pm, members of the OPP and local fire services responded to a report of a vehicle fire on the westbound shoulder of Highway 401 near Lake Road in the Township of Cramahe.

Emergency crews arrived to find a bus fully engulfed in flames. All occupants had safely exited the vehicle and no injuries were reported. Highway 401 westbound was temporarily closed at County Road 30 to allow emergency crews to safely manage the incident. The roadway was reopened at approximately 1:00 am
