(Fort Frances, ON) - Four people were charged criminally after police executed a drug search warrant in Couchiching First Nation.

On June 2, 2026, members of the Rainy River District Detachment Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with the assistance of the Treaty Three Police Service, the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), OPP Canine Unit, and the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a section 11 Controlled drugs and Substances Act search warrant in Couchiching First Nation.

Police seized a quantity of cocaine, money, and other drug trafficking related property.

Dajshon STEWART, 32-years old from Toronto, ON is charged with possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime under $5000. The accused has been released by the court and is scheduled to appear next in Fort Frances on August 13, 2026.

Kristen BOSHEY, 37-years-old, from Couchiching First Nation, is charged with possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking and fail to comply with a release order. This accused was also wanted on outstanding warrants and was held in custody for a bail hearing scheduled for June 5, 2026, in Fort Frances.

Richard MORRISSEAU, 70-years-old, from Couchiching First Nation, is charged with possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking, obstruct peace officer, and fail to comply with a probation order. This accused was released by police and is to appear in the Fort Frances Ontario Court of Justice on July 23, 2026, to speak to the charges.

Carolyn JOURDAIN, 60-years-old, from Couchiching First Nation, is charged with possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking. This accused was released by police and is scheduled to appear in the Fort Frances Ontario Court of Justice July 23, 2026, to speak to the charge.
