MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGES

(RAINY RIVER, ON) - Members of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a young driver with impaired operation.
In the early morning hours of Monday, May 4th, 2026, members from the Rainy River OPP responded to a single‑vehicle collision on Highway 71. Following further investigation, officers determined that the driver had been operating the vehicle while impaired.
As a result, Tehya GEYSHICK, age 20 of Fort Frances, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
