(ATIKOKAN, ON) - Members of the Atikokan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal single vehicle collision.
On Thursday, January 1, 2026, at approximately 11:00 am, members of the Atikokan OPP along with Atikokan Fire and Rescue Service and Rainy River District Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of a single vehicle snowmobile collision on the Saturn Avenue extension.
A 22-year-old from Atikokan was transported to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
