SUBJECT CHARGED WITH NUMEROUS OFFENCES AFTER STOLEN VEHICLE WAS RECOVERED BY POLICE

(Fort Frances, ON) - GPS tracking on a stolen vehicle let to the arrest of a subject and recovery of a quantity of stolen property.
On February 26, 2026, at approximately 6:00 am, the Fort Frances Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break and enter, and theft of motor vehicle from a business on the 600 block of Kings Highway.
Officers were able to track the vehicle with GPS and located it parked in a near-by area. The offender was located hiding inside a different vehicle in the same area and was arrested. Police recovered a quantity of stolen goods related to the initial call for service.
Jeremiah Whitecrow, 36-years old, from Seine River Nation is charged with the following criminal offences:
- Break enter and commit indictable offence
- Theft motor vehicle
- Fail to comply with judicial release
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Theft over $5000
- Fail to comply with probation
The accused is being held by police for a bail hearing scheduled for February 27, 2026, in the Fort Frances Ontario Court of Justice.
