The Guelph Police Service is investigating after receiving a report that approximately $18,000 in tools were stolen on the morning of Friday, January 16, 2026.

It was reported that a Sea container, located at a south end business, was entered at approximately 2:00 AM. It was found that a hole had been cut in the fencing surrounding the business, as well as the Sea container. The items taken were power tools, mainly chainsaws and rail saws.

A red pickup truck, possibly an older model Chevrolet, was seen on CCTV leaving the area around the time of the incident.
