A Guelph man was taken off the road Thursday after an officer clocked his motorcycle going more than double the speed limit.

Just after 7 pm a member of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit was patrolling on Maltby Road West when he spotted a motorcycle travelling 134 km/h in the posted 60 km/h zone.

A 29-year-old Guelph man is charged with speeding and stunt driving. His licence was suspended for 30 days and the bike was impounded for 14 days. A stunt driving conviction will attract a minimum licence suspension of one year, a minimum fine of $2,000 and six demerit points.
