Two vehicles impounded for stunt driving

On Monday the Guelph Police charged and impounded the vehicles of two drivers in separate incidents for stunt driving.
The first driver was observed driving at a high rate of speed on Maltby Road at approximately 12:40 pm The driver was found to be traveling 40km/hr over in the posted 60km/hr zone.
The second driver was observed driving at a high rate of speed on Stone Road East, at approximately 3:10 pm The driver was found to be traveling 40km/hr over in the posted 40km/hr zone.
Both drivers faced a mandatory 30-day license suspension and 14-day vehicle impound along with future court dates for the stunt driving offences. A stunt driving conviction will attract a minimum licence suspension of one year, a minimum fine of $2,000 and six demerit points.
