A Guelph man faces several charges after three Guelph Police Service officers were assaulted Wednesday evening.
Approximately 7:30 pm police were called to a family dispute at a north-end residence. A 35-year-old Guelph man was arrested at the scene for assault, mischief under $5,000 and theft.
He was transported to the police station, where he became aggressive with officers in the cellblock area and struck three officers. None of the officers were injured.
As a result the man was further charged with three counts of assaulting police. He will appear in court August 7.
